This is a fantastic Denise Wren Oxshott Pottery St George bowl dating to 1921. Denise Wren was a star pupil of Archibald Knox and this can be clearly seen, both with the stylised Celtic lettering to the edge of the bowl and the internal incised stylised entrelac and Dragon design. This piece could be a one off, but at the very least it is an extremely scarce piece of British Art Pottery. It is fully marked to the base. It is in good condition, there is a very tight feint inch long hairline to the rim and a touched in tiny rim nick.
